Omer is an experienced teacher who has been teaching for over 20 years . He started teaching in music schools and today he teaches mostly privately in his studio in Binyamina.
In the studio, private lessons are given on drums (system) and Latin percussion (congas, bongos, etc.) from the age of 10, either regularly (once a week) or in the form of a single lesson or a number of lessons (experiential-experimental section).
Private lessons on set are provided for all levels; At first the emphasis is on basics and rhythm characters, but from the first lesson you also learn about the set. Later you learn different rhythms and styles (first rock and then Latin rhythms, jazz and more) while the learning is usually based on charts, different techniques, structure and improvisation, dynamics, asymmetrical rhythms, working with music (recordings) and more.
Omer teaches with a book he wrote in 1995. The book BASIC RUYTHM PATTERNS was Written after Omer was not happy with the books he studied with when he was a young student. The book goes through all the basic notes from quarters, half and whole notes, through eighths and sixteenths to all types of triplets, dotted notes, 6/8, Cut-Time, Rolls, accents and dynamic exercises. Exercises for beginners can also be found in the book, but also high-level exercises. The book comes with a CD.
